JOIN THE FUN
MEET FELLOW WRESTLERS
ON AND OFF THE MATS
Think you're alone in your interest in wrestling? Think again!
Whether you're an experienced grappler, new to the scene, or just curious, there's an event for you. As members of the local queer wrestling community, we know the fun shouldn't stop on the mats. That's why we're starting to host regular social meetups to help give you a chance to meet, mingle, and make connections with people who have similar interests.

HAPPY HOURS - TORONTO'S LGBT+ WRESTLING SOCIALS

Grab a drink, meet new friends, and chat about all things wrestling at our Wrestlers Happy Hour socials. These are casual, non-wrestling, events where you can connect with fellow members of Toronto's queer wrestling community in a relaxed setting. While many attendees like to wear wrestling gear - you're welcome to wear whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Expect a fun mix of people into everything from WWE-style pro-wrestling to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), to submission grappling or just fans of the sport. Even if you've never wrestled before, you'll find plenty of friendly faces ready to welcome you.

Whether you're a seasoned grappler, long-time pro wrestling fan, or just curious about wrestling, you'll feel right at home. Come mingle, share stores, and meet the local Toronto queer wrestling crew.

OPEN MATS - TRY OUT WRESTLING IN AN INCLUSIVE SPACE

Open mats are all about building community and doing the sport we love. Think of them as practice times - no competition and no pressure. If you're new to wrestling, it's a perfect chance to wrestle, roll, and have fun with others who share similar interests.

An open mat is simple: we provide a space to wrestle, and you simply show up. Wrestlers of all levels - whether you're into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), freestyle wrestling, or new to the scene can meet up, practice techniques, and share knowledge in a safe, supportive environment.

The WrestleFest Toronto organizing team holds open mats during our larger events, like our July WrestleFest and Winter Rumble. In between, our friends at Grapple Pit organize inclusive, kink-friendly open mats every couple of months to keep the Toronto wrestling community connected year-round.
HAVE EXPERIENCE IN WRESTLING OR BJJ? WE'RE LOOKING TO GROW!
If you have experience in wrestling or BJJ coaching, we love to have your help in hosting drop-in training sessions at our events. Our goal is to create regular opportunities for those curious about wrestling to try it out in an inclusive, supportive space. If you're interested in getting involved, reach out to us at wrestlefestcanada@gmail.com.
